Wacker Neuson has drastically reduced the price of cabs for its wheeled dumpers, increased the capacity of its small tracked dumper, and introduced new hand tools.
Having put the level 2 ROPS/FOPS cab into production at the factory in Linz, Austria, the option now adds around £2,300 to the list price, instead of closer to £6,000 for individually manufactured items. The cab can be specified on the 3001, 6001, 9001 and 10001+ dumpers (but cannot be retrofitted) and comes with an option of a windscreen guard to allow the driver to remain on board while the machine is loaded.
Not only does the cab keep the driver dry, it comes with a heater and storage space and can be fitted with a radio. Twin 180-degreee opening doors allow the driver to enter and exit on either side of the machine, and there are flaps for easy access to the daily checks
The company has also increased the payload on its TD9 tracked dumper to 900kg and added to its range the DF16 rebar tier (capable of tying up to 1,000 knots per hour from a standing position) and electric breakers said to have best-in-class single stroke efficiency with low hand-arm vibration levels.
